The White House reports President Obama didn't feel the earthquake that rattled the East Coast this week during his golf game, but polling news from California could shake up his supporters and re-election campaign.
The President's job approval rating in the Golden State has hit a new low. An exclusive Action News poll conducted by SurveyUSA... shows Mr. Obama's approval at 43% and 51% of those responding to the poll say they disapprove of the job he's doing in the White House.
In the past decade Americans have found ways to show they appreciate those serving our country. Sometimes those ways a grand other times they are simple like a handmade, simple gift to keep soldiers warm in bitter cold weather.
They call it, “NATO training mission – Afghanistan”. And that is where United States Army SSgt. Chris Barnes of Fresno is serving these days. He is among a number of American soldiers helping to train the National Afghan Police Force to take over when American forces go home. Outgoing General Patraeus set it in motion and his replacement General Allan is continuing that plan. The goal is to advise and guide the Afghan Police not to do their job. Which right now is learning ways to win the trust of a population fearful of their country’s cops.
